Monthly Minutes!
August 11, 2008
The regular meeting of the Tecumseh Twp. Board was called to order at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was taken- present were, Clerk Brown, Trustee Lamb, Trustee Feight and Treasurer Bunch. Supervisor Schlegel was absent. Clerk Brown led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A motion to approve the minutes of the July 14, 2008 meeting was made by Lamb; seconded by Bunch. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Lamb to accept the Treasurer's report as presented and place it on file; seconded by Brown. Motion carried.
A motion for the approval to pay the bills was made by Feight; seconded by Lamb. Motion carried.
A motion to accept the Building Inspector's report was made by Brown; seconded by Bunch. Motion carried.
The Board reviewed Tim Eggleston letter of resignation as the Building Inspector for Tecumseh Township effective September 30, 2008.
The Board reviewed and discussed the resumes of possible candidates for the Building Inspector job and decided to table a vote until next meeting.
Motion made by Lamb to approve Township payment of cost for the Michigan Planning Enabling Act and Michigan Zoning Enabling Act seminar on September 30, 2008 at M.S.U. Extension Lenawee County Office; seconded by Brown. Motion carried.
Trustee Lamb gave a report on the Agricultural and Land Use Tour which included stops at Nextdiesel - Biodiesel Plant in Adrian, Bonner Hills in Tecumseh, Applewood Orchards and Gary Iott's Farm of Deerfield.
The Board reviewed the five year Income and Expense report, 2007-2008 amended Budget and Public Safety report.
No Supervisor's report was given.
Open discussion was held.
There being no further business, Lamb moved the meeting be adjourned at 8:10P.M.; seconded by Bunch. Motion carried.
