Monthly Minutes!
June 9, 2014
The regular meeting of the Tecumseh Township Board was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Supervisor Schlegel. Present are Supervisor Schlegel, Treasurer Bunch, Trustee Feight, Trustee Lamb and Attorney M. Brooks. Clerk Brown absent.
Supervisor led the Pledge of Allegiance.
A motion was made by Schlegel to approve the minutes of the May 12, 2014 Board meeting; second by Feight. Motion carried.
The treasure's report was presented by Bunch and reviewed and placed on file. Motion by Lamb to approve payment of bills; seconded by Feight. Motion carried.
Open discussion followed on February 2005 amendment to Junk Car ordinance with request for Attorney Brooks to send letter to a current violator.
Supervisor Schlegel reported that the city and the Township would be looking at a longer contract duration (currently 3 years) and more data to determine our next fire contract. A motion was made by Schlegel to extend the current contract for up to a year (July 2014-June 2015) while these discussions continue. Lamb seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Further discussion followed on dealing with foreclosed properties being owned by out of state banks.
There being no additional business Bunch moved to adjourn with second by Feight. Meeting adjourned at 7:28 P.M.
