Monthly Minutes!
November 14, 2016
The regular meeting of the Tecumseh Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Schlegel at 7:00 P.M. Supervisor Schlegel led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call was taken- present were; Supervisor Schlegel, Clerk Brown, Treasurer Bunch, Trustee Lamb and Trustee Feight . Attorney Brooks was also present.
The Board had guest speakers Judith Holcomb and Diana Schroeder from Lenawee County Solid Waste Committee they spoke on the need for a new amendment of the Lenawee County Solid Waste Management Plan.
A motion to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2016 meeting was made by Lamb; seconded by Bunch. Motion carried. The Treasurer's report was reviewed and placed on file.
A motion for the approval to pay the bills was made by Brown; seconded by Feight. Motion carried.
A Building report and Dump Day report was reviewed and placed on file.
Tecumseh Township's Assessor Tim Voorhees addressed the Board to why the Township's property assessments are not in compliance with the State. After some discussion by the Board, Schlegel made a motion to enter into an agreement with the City of Tecumseh to have the City do the Townships assessing and to have Amanda Lacelle do the Townships reassessment to meet the State requirements; seconded by Brown. Motion carried.
The Board discussed and reviewed the National Flood Insurance Program further action will be taken after the Board has time to review the updated resolution.
The Board discussed the possibly of terminating and moving the Lucius Lilley Trust from O.N.B. to Lenawee Community Foundation and Schlegel reported that O.N.B. said that the fees they are charging will remain the same for now. No action taken by the Board.
There being no further business, Feight moved the meeting be adjourned at 8:10 P.M.; seconded by Bunch. Motion carried.
